A post about my Grandfather

I want to reflect on my maternal Grandfather Roland Van Der Beck (Van) who his Grandchildren called Poppy.  He was and continues to be the defining male role model in my life and I miss him terribly. He was a ceramic scientist and worked for many years an was an executive at Folder and GE.  He invented a viewing glass for a thermal reactor which upgraded the existing viewer to be the seize of nickel up to nearly 10 inches in diameter.  He continued his knack for invention into his retirement years.  I remember he had a reading light that he used which bothered his eyes so he taped a piece of paper up to modify it to suite his vision better.  He was always doing little modifications to things to make the thing suite him best.   I watched this and learned from him and do my best to implement that mentality of making my things and environment work for me. I like how he would do something nice and then point it out to everyone by saying "Isn't it nice of m...

A final farewell before being sent to the State Hospital

Hello Reader, First I want to say I am innocent of all the charges against me and I do not understand why I am being sent to the State Hospital, but the mission continues I must take over the world for the sake of Jesus Christ. This letter is the final one while I am here, it may be my final post ever as we never know when death will tap us on the shoulder and our time will be up.  I hope and pray that when I do go I will be with the Lord, but I do not know I will have to work that out for myself and stand before him with fear and trembling.  What I'm saying is who knows what will happen or how long I will be gone. The world is not going to Satan it is going to the Lord and I am one of those three personalities that make up one unified God head, The Trinity one is essence and inseparable.  Through reincarnation and by the grace, hard work and sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ and countless named and unnamed Saints I have have been reborn into this body, I once was ...

Keep your dreams alive

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NR0l13o-DeQ&list=RDNR0l13o-DeQ&start_radio=1 Keep Your Dreams Alive by Giuseppe Ottaviani. What the song actually is Giuseppe Ottaviani released “Keep Your Dreams Alive” in 2019 through Dreamstate. It runs at about 137 BPM , and the vocal is essentially one repeated phrase: “Keep your dreams alive.” But there is an important piece of context: Ottaviani himself has explained what he was trying to accomplish. He said the track was made as a Dreamstate festival anthem, using a simple, catchy melody and an aggressive sound, with the vocal sample “keep your dreams alive” because he thought it fit the festival's concept. And elsewhere, when asked about his personal motto, Ottaviani gave essentially the same message: dreams motivate us, and continuing to dream gives us something worth fighting toward. So this isn't really a song that tells a story. It is a command. Don't let the dream die. What it means to me If I were interpreting th...

Differences in temperament based on eye color - Think Romans 12

I had an interesting conversation with ChatGPT today.  I was looking to confirm what I already knew about eye color by searching the internet.  It turns out that what I already knew has been known by humanity for a long time and written about over and over again across different cultures.  I had a back and forth also looking into the negative traits and this chart shows exactly what I believe we need to know as a human race to thrive in the 21st century. FYI, I have green eyes, vote for me in 2028! Green brings vision. Blue brings discernment. Brown brings action. Eye Color Positive / Healthy Expression Shadow / Unhealthy Expression 🟢 Green Independent; creative; intuitive; passionate; imaginative; unconventional; curious; visionary; strongly motivated by personal meaning; willing to question established assumptions Obsessive; jealous; overly intense; stubborn about personal convictions; difficult to persuade; emotionally reactive when deeply invested; can become isolate...

Many Intelligences, One Human Community, One Commitment to Peace, Through Christ Jesus Our Living Lord

A Vision for Christianity, Artificial Intelligence, Human Freedom, and the Future of Civilization I am writing this because I believe that the questions we are facing with artificial intelligence are too important to leave entirely to corporations, engineers, governments, or technology companies. I also believe that Christianity has something essential to say about what happens next. I do not know whether I will live to see the ideas in this essay become reality. I do not know whether I will ever hold the political office I have imagined holding, whether I will ever work directly with the Bishop of Rome, or whether the particular institutions I envision will ever be created. But I want the ideas preserved. If someone reads this years from now after I am gone, I want that person to understand what I was trying to accomplish. My ultimate objective is not power for its own sake. It is peace. It is human freedom from sin. It is technological progress that serves human beings rather than en...

This is a funny meme to celebrate South Park's Emmy win

Image
Congratulations to Trae Parker and Matt Stone for their Emmy win beating The Simpsons, Smiling friends and Bob's Burgers.   This meme is funny because our wonderful President has many times complained that he didn't win an Emmy for his show the apprentice.  In this newest season which won the Emmy the fictional charter of President Trump was a prominent villain in the story arc.

Hair

In the interest of getting my ideas out there while I can I am just dropping this based on extensive conversations with chatGPT, I hope to entirely rewrite it in my own words later but here it is for now. Hair, Nose Hair, and the Possibility That the Body Is an Interface I have been thinking again about hair. This might sound like a strange subject for a serious philosophical investigation, but hair has fascinated me because it sits at an unusual boundary between the inside of the human body and the outside world. Hair grows from us, but extends beyond us. It is part of the body while simultaneously interacting with the environment. That makes me wonder whether hair can teach us something about the relationship between the body, the mind, the spirit, and reality itself. I have previously explored the idea that reality might function something like a computer simulation—not necessarily literally in the way The Matrix portrays it, but as a useful philosophical model. In such a mode...
